My name is Lora. My services and talents many seem a little eclectic, and that’s because I’m a little eclectic myself. I grew up around cars and learned to love them (and working on them) passionately. In recent years, I was introduced to the world of motorcycles and motorcycle drag racing. Through my time working at a motorcycle performance shop here in Houston, I grew to love motorcycles. Aside from cars, motorcycles, and going fast, my first love was art (and later, art history). And, oddly enough, over the past few years, I’ve somehow become a photographer for local skaters. I work part-time at Humble Skatepark, and have gained an appreciation for the sport. After picking up photography as a hobby, I became interested in sports photography. Of course I naturally drifted towards photographing my friends skate, and was quickly educated in the style of editing that went along with it.
My Photoshop skills and editing have several different signature styles, as you’ll notice in my portfolio. With my eclectic background, I have learned a wide range of styles and markets. The look needed for an ad in a magazine directed towards custom motorcycles and racing is completely different than the look needed for a skate photo being posted on Rollernews. Also, I’ve studied fine art for more than 10 years, so I have a strong background in design concepts, art theory, drawing, etc.
The career I’ve chosen is automotive (and motorcycle) custom painting, restoration, and bodywork. I plan on going to school to learn the trade, and would love to begin an apprenticeship at some point in the near future. I am currently working full-time between two places, plus at the skatepark. So, my time is stretched just a little thin, but fortunately I have great time management skills.
So, with that all said, the services I offer are readily available, but must fit in around my schedule, which isn’t as hard as it may sound (really). I just ask that you be patient and understanding. Please contact me for more information or with any questions.
